The Teddy Bear Crawl

When a child is admitted into a hospital they are usually in a very uncomfortable situation. My goal was to bring a little bit of comfort to them by getting uncomfortable myself.

The "Always Can Bear" came to life on February 26, 2023, as I completed a 5K, 20 obstacle Spartan race bear crawling the whole way.

We Raised enough money to provide 300 teddy bears to children who are admitted into St. Mary's Children's Hospital in Duluth, MN. Every teddy bear came with a card with the quote "You can do more than you believe is possible." 

​

After the success of Arizona we took it a step farther and I completed a Spartan 10k bear crawl in Dallas, TX almost doubling my donations from the first bear crawl. 

​

Starting in March of 2024 I have partnered with Spartan and we are bringing teddy bear crawls to select events across the nation. Join us on a 1/2 mile teddy bear crawl and help bring some comfort to a child when they are in an uncomfortable place. Doing so gives you the opportunity to also earn a kids Spartan medal and for the kids who join they will earn a Spartan Sprint medal!
